Our second day in Playa... beach, sea, margharitas at the beach club... Well, life can be tough. I've never seen waters as pure and transparent as this. On our second day, we stayed at the Hotel Maya Bric (40€/night) on Quinta Avenida (between calle 8-10), right next to the beach access. A nice place with a swimming pool (not that we used it), and optional air-con (for an extra 10€/night). For breakfast we went to the Tequila Barrel (Qta Avenida), for hotcakes (me) and a Texan breakfast (eggs, bacon, beans - Paul) between 3 and 4€ each. Oh, and our first night out, restaurant Siesta y Fiesta, recommended, I ate the most amazing (and gigantic) prawns simply grilled with garlic and herbs - a mere 35€ for 2, and it was a posh one!! |

Notre deuxième jour à Playa, plage, plage, et margharitas au bar de la plage... Oui, je sais, la vie est dure parfois. Les deuxième et troisième nuits on est restés au Maya Bric Hotel, sur la 5e avenue, 40€/nuit (clim en option pour 8€ de plus), avec piscine (bon on s'en est pas servi mais...), un endroit sympa, et ils plient les serviettes en forme de cygne! :-) Pour le petit-déj', le Tequila Barrel, c'est parfait, pour 3/4€, on peut manger des pancakes, du pain perdu ou un spécial Texan (oeufs, bacon, beans, etc.). Et le premier soir au resto, on a choisi le Siesta y Fiesta pour manger d'énormes crevettes grillées avec de l'ail et des herbes, succulentes - à 35€ pour 2, et pourtant encore, c'était un des plus chics!! |
